About
I joined Informa Software in Orlando in 1996 and spent my first six years in network engineering and systems administration: Windows, Novell, and Unix server management, LAN and WAN infrastructure, and firewall deployments. I picked up certifications along the way from Microsoft, Novell, Cisco, 3Com, and Bay Networks. When .NET Framework 1.0 shipped in 2002, I moved into full-time software development and stayed until March 2026, working as the primary engineer on an enterprise document management platform used by customers in regulated industries.
I built the OCR pipelines that turned scanned paper into structured data, owned storage and versioning for the documents that came out of them, and led the migration that moved the platform from on-premise Windows Server and IIS to Azure. SQL Server and MongoDB sat under most of what I built. I designed the REST APIs other teams called, reviewed code from developers I mentored, and carried the system through every major Windows OS generation without a handoff to operations.
That chapter ended in March 2026. This one is about full-stack breadth: I'm expanding my knowledge of TypeScript and React by building real projects, including Acumi below, which runs on Next.js and React Native. I picked up C++ and JUCE building four small audio plugins along the way.
Work
A multi-tenant platform for classroom observations and annual teacher evaluations. Observers score against a rubric from an iPad in the room; admins build rubrics, manage staff, and roll up summative results on the web. Florida Virtual School is the first tenant, and a small private school will pilot it this coming school year.
A convolution reverb plugin for musicians. Load an impulse response of a real room, or pick from a built-in bank of synthesized spaces, and it renders clean, high-quality reverb in AU or VST3. Signed and notarized for macOS, with a Windows build available too.
Patchcord builds real virtual audio devices out of the apps and hardware already on a Mac. Wire channels together on a patchbay canvas, and the device shows up anywhere macOS lets you pick an input or output. It runs from the menu bar, so nothing has to stay open.
A faithful recreation of the Yamaha E1010 analog delay, modeling the original's bucket-brigade circuit, clock noise, and tone shaping, wrapped in a photorealistic rack-unit interface. Testers are putting it through its paces now.
A pair of Audio Unit wrappers that let Logic Pro host VST3 plugins it can't normally load, with 128 macro parameters mapped for full automation. Functional, ahead of its first real test inside a DAW.
